COX inhibitor, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug
Featured Products
Fenbufen (CAS No.: 36330-85-5) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), mainly used to relieve pain and inflammatory responses. Its mechanism of action primarily involves inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) activity and reducing prostaglandin synthesis, thereby exerting anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. In vitro studies show that Fenbufen inhibits COX-1 and COX-2 with activities of 3.9 μM and 8.1 μM, respectively, in the low micromolar range. In addition, Fenbufen also exhibits inhibitory activity against caspase family proteins (including caspase-1, 3, 4, 5, 9). In cellular and animal models, Fenbufen is commonly used to study its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, and the doses or concentrations used in experiments typically depend on the experimental design and research objectives.
