Doxapram HCl
Catalog No.
A8419
Potassium channel inhibitor
Featured Products
Doxapram HCl is a respiratory stimulant that exerts its biological effects by inhibiting the TASK subtype of two-pore potassium channels. Relevant electrophysiological experimental results indicate that this compound shows inhibitory activity against the TASK-1 channel, the TASK-3 channel, and the TASK-1/TASK-3 heterodimer, with concentration-dependent differences in its effects on the above channel subtypes. Therefore, Doxapram HCl can be used as a selective TASK channel blocker and is widely used to study the specific physiological roles and pathological significance of TASK channels in respiratory regulation, central nervous system function, and hypoxia-sensing mechanisms.
