BODIPY 500/510 C1, C12
BODIPY 500/510 C1, C12 is a kind of BODIPY dye and belongs to small molecule fluorescent dyes with strong ultraviolet absorption capacity. Its fluorescence emission peak is relatively sharp, with a high fluorescence quantum yield. The maximum excitation wavelength is 500 nm and the maximum emission wavelength is 510 nm. This dye is relatively insensitive to the polarity and pH value of the environment, and thus shows good stability under different physiological conditions. Due to the asymmetry of the BODIPY structure, various structural products have been derived. Among them, BODIPY 500/510 C1, C12 belong to lipid droplet dyes, which can effectively penetrate the cell membrane and enter the interior of the cell, and specifically locate on the neutral lipids within the cell, thereby achieving specific staining of lipid droplets. This dye is widely used in the fluorescence labeling and imaging research of living cells and fixed cells.
