5-HT3 receptor antagonist
Featured Products
Azasetron HCl (CAS No.: 123040-16-4) is a selective 5-hydroxytryptamine type 3 (5-HT3) receptor antagonist, mainly used for the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting induced by cancer chemotherapy. It has high affinity for the 5-HT3 receptor; in vitro studies show an IC50 of approximately 0.33 nM, indicating that it can effectively inhibit 5-HT3 receptor activity at the nanomolar level. In cellular and animal models, Azasetron HCl suppresses the emetic reflex induced by chemotherapeutic agents by blocking 5-HT3 receptors. The doses or concentrations used in experiments typically depend on the experimental design and research objectives.
