3-Azido-3-deoxyadenosine

3'-Azido-3'-deoxyadenosine is a purine nucleoside analog. Purine nucleoside analogs have a broad spectrum of antitumor activity, targeting malignant tumors of the inert lymphatic system. The anticancer mechanism in this process relies on inhibition of DNA synthesis, induction of apoptosis, etc.3'-Azido-3'-deoxyadenosine is a click chemistry. It contains an Azide moiety and can undergo a copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing an Alkyne moiety. It can also undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
