5-Methyl-UTP
5-Methyl-UTP is a modified nucleoside triphosphate in which the 5-carbon position of uracil is methylated. This modification significantly affects RNA structure and function, playing important roles in biological systems. 5-Methyl-UTP can be incorporated into RNA molecules containing methylated uracil during in vitro mRNA synthesis. Methylation modification increases RNA stability and translation efficiency, reduces RNA degradation, thereby enhancing persistence and effectiveness of gene expression, and demonstrating broad application prospects in the development of novel RNA therapeutics and treatments. Additionally, the use of 5-Methyl-UTP is critical for investigating the role of RNA methylation in gene regulation, as well as the chemical properties and biological functions of RNA.
